Pirate Battle - Battle by Ships app good for
its fun to play, just like Battleship when i was a kid. i do like the single player mode, nice and quick. live multi-player and chat are nice touches.
Its just like Battleship except pirate themed - as everything in life should be. Fun chat option and good gameplay, well done!
Love this app in every mode (single or with friends) Great take off of the classic board game!!
Real cool game! Finally a game where I dont need another player. I really enjoy the game.
I saw this game before they added the single player mode, but decided against it because I couldnt play it when no one else was available. When I saw the update I purchased the app. I must say that it’s a nice twist on an old classic. The chat feature worked well when used. You can notify your friends that you want to play by other using the username or having their registered email in your device. Overall, lots of fun.
This is a very generic concept of games and they are always fun. The online component takes time but it adds a lot to the game, this is a great game and you should get it because no matter who you are you will have fun.
Some bad moments
I think this game could be great but whats holding it back is that there are not enough people online to play I have tried to play a random player five time and have yet to start a game. I do like that you can play solo or via Bluetooth or online. Hopefully more people will adopt to play this game.
I tried to play local single player. Once I hit Start the screen froze and wouldnt respond to anything. The only thing I could do was force quit the app.
Constant connecting to server messages and cannot even start a game yet.
It would be nice if it worked.
I guess if it was my game and I read the reviews Id try to fix my server problem. Its a fun game but always trying to connect to server is ridiculous. This is the first app I rated because of how annoying it is not being able to play. And then you charge $1.99. Shame shame.
I registered but then it said there is no network connection (but there is) and I could not log in. This was true for months of trying on and off... And finally worked yesterday!
But theres no local multiplayer, no pass-and-play, and no random online gaming, in practice. Because it doesnt randomly match you with other people requesting a game NOW. It randomly picks from anyone who has random games enabled in the settings. So they will decline you every time. It should match with people who want to play NOW, like Words With Friends.
Add that and local multiplayer and pass-and-play and Id rate it 5 stars! But only if the servers are reliable at last. Thats a big "if."
I still give it 2 stars for a slick look and having a single player mode.
The game is great but the developers WONT add multitasking! Its been a year! The server thing is understandable....but no update in 6+ months is ridiculous. Please update! And add away to cancel stale games. I have several that are 200+ days old. Fix these things and its an easy 5 stars
